Caiques are the clowns of the parrot world — acrobatic, playful, extroverted, and endlessly entertaining. We carry both the Black-Headed Caique and the White-Bellied Caique.

Personality

Caiques are often described as having ‘ADHD in a parrot body.’ They’re constantly moving, constantly investigating, and constantly inventing games. They’re not loud relative to other parrots, but they are intense. If you want something calmer, see our طيور الكوكتيل; if you want similar energy in a larger bird, consider our conures.

Care and housing

Caiques need room to play — a large cage with many toys, or better yet a flight area. See our bird cages. Every caique we sell is hand-fed, closed-leg-ringed, and comes with a hatch certificate. DNA-sexing is available on request.
