Amazon parrots are mid-size, stocky New World parrots known for their talkativeness and strong personalities. Species in our collection include Yellow-Naped, Double Yellow-Headed, Blue-Fronted, and other Amazon varieties.
Why consider an Amazon
Amazons are hardier and more assertive than many parrots — they don’t require the intense daily bonding of a cacatúa, and they tolerate household noise well. They’re excellent talkers, with some individuals developing vocabularies of several hundred words. Rivalled only by Grises africanos for speech clarity.
Documentation
Every Amazon we sell is hand-fed, DNA-sexed, and closed-leg-ringed. Yellow-Naped and Double Yellow-Headed Amazons are CITES-listed and require appropriate permits for international sale — we guide you through the process. See envío for details.
