Pinsans de Gould

The Gouldian Finch is widely regarded as the most beautiful finch species on Earth. Native to northern Australia, these small songbirds come in three natural head colours — Black, Red, and Yellow — plus a range of body mutations produced by selective breeding.

Care and housing

Gouldians are slightly more delicate than some finch species — they prefer warm, draft-free environments and benefit from a varied seed and soft-food diet. They’re aviary birds by preference, thriving in small mixed-species groups with other peaceful species like canaris or other finches.

Colour varieties

All Gouldians are closed-leg-ringed and come from our own breeding stock. Colour variants include Red-Headed, Black-Headed, Yellow-Headed, White-Breasted, and various body mutations.
